It's carnage at my house...

BellasSparklyBaubles · 16/12/2009 20:44

Just spent half an hour practising my best horizontal mattress sutures.
My pheasant has lost a wing and has his throat cut.
The chicken has no head left. At all.
The bear has probably lost a lung.
The monkey has had a pretty radical lobotomy.
And Triceratops looks like he lost an argument with T Rex.

Anyone else's dogs just destroy their soft toys?

Totallyfloaty35 · 16/12/2009 22:33

Dont give mine soft toys for fear they will cofuse them with my toddlers toys,dd3 does not take kindly to her teddies having their limbs chewed off

WynkenBlynkenandNod · 17/12/2009 01:50

No, soft toys are fine, she's very attached to squeaky pup and risked the wrath of the scary Hoover to make a daring rescue to save her yesterday. However computer mice and the rest of the house are not faring so well.

Well, the situation has deteriorated overnight.

Monkey has no brain left at all.

It's all over my kitchen floor.

Poor Monkey - he's still grinning, though. Such a brave chap

My puppy loves his soft toy. His mum gave it a good slobber before he left the breeder. He plays rough games with the doggy toy that he used to with his litter mates. Mind you after only 5 days the toy is looking a little worse for wear. I suspect he will be getting through a fair few soft toys.

Dd1's bedtime toy is a soft dog. I hate to think what would happen if the pup got near that toy. I have told dd1 to keep it well away, and hopefully at the age of 9 she will do this. Otherwise it is bye-bye dd1's toy which she has had since the age of 5.

wildfig · 17/12/2009 12:31

I blame our puppy for having the most dull Christmas present request EVER, viz, tea towels. He's shredded the lot. It's almost... almost... as if DH has trained him, so as to avoid doing any drying up at all.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/12/2009 13:36

pmsl bella

so while you were shagging dh, your woofa went on a killing spree

our 10.5 stone puppy horse destroyed a camel yesterday - humps and all

BellasSparklyBaubles · 17/12/2009 14:04

Given what you've told me of your Woofa, Blondie, I'm surprised he didn't hump the camel's humps while he was at it

Thats nothing! My 10 month old labradoodle has eaten half a sofa in the garden room where I shut them in when we were out. I had forgotten how destructive puppies can be, the older dogs just looked a bit bemused

BellasSparklyBaubles · 17/12/2009 19:22

I had to pick up the monkey's dismembered face as I was cooking dinner tonight, elastamum.

And you think your situation is worse ?

GhoulsAreLoud · 17/12/2009 19:23

My dog only gets one soft toy at a time.

She had a cuddly christmas dog but it's just rag now - she ripped it's ears and legs off and pulled out the stuffing.

She still loves it though

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/12/2009 20:02

touche bella

sex before 9pm - will have a chat to mr blondes about that

as a puppy woofa did have a squeaky duck, like a mallard, actually think he got through3 or 4 of them - literally tore their heads off

and dont forget what he did to my furry slippers last year - now those were slaughtered

luckily my lovely mb got me a new pair of sheepskin furry slippers

BellasSparklyBaubles · 17/12/2009 20:19

Sorry, I am losing track of this thread now.

My dogs chewed the monkey's head off.

Ergo Bella was having sex

...and now it was before 9pm, fgs?

Who is this Bella woman?

StayingSantasGirl · 17/12/2009 20:34

We got a soft toy pheasant for our brown lab puppy. It squeaked, and she loved it - but unfortunately it kept coming apart at the seams and, despite my best suturing efforts, eventually it became phlat pheasant, and a new phat pheasant was acquired - and quickly disembowelled all over the downstairs!

Oh, and in the past 24 hours, she's eaten 400g of chestnuts and stolen a pack of lamb chops that are for supper. Plus nicked a load of cardboard from the recycling and shredded it all over the garden. And she's eaten one of my shoes - a new one.....

EdgarAleNPie · 17/12/2009 20:34

Nok Tok bit it today.
