introducing new pup to old pup!

I need ultimate tips for introducing an 11 week old Great dane to a 5 month old Scottie dog - ANY help muchly appreciated.

if it is a pup that is coming to live in the house forever (not a visitor) then let them both off the lead to play in the garden. restraining them will cause more friction. free play (if you know the scooty isnt dog aggressive) will be your best policy. xx

Yes will be permament, Scottie isnt aggressive but quite a yappy little bugger who can get nippy when excited, Im worried about Danes ears!

I have to ask - cos I saw your other thread - are you getting an American Bulldog as well?

No bella, I ot the wrong end of the stick from DH, was actually the Great Dane we got, everything is going well, both girls getting on well, very happy

Yeah i know, he asked me about many dogs and i thought he was going with a american bull hed seen, but he wastnt, it was the great dane, just crossed wires between us and in that time id jumped on mumsnet to find out what i could! we just have a scottie and now the Dane, and a hamster and a couple of Degu, there are a couple of kids round here somewhere too lol x

Bella could you recomend a good book about Danes by any chance??
