Can Guinea Pigs climb?

I have my 2 in a cardboard box in the kitchen so they can have a break from their hutch but I am not getting a lot done as I have to keep checking on them every 2 seconds. The box is about as tall as a regular sized cereal box and the piggies are 6-12months old.

I don't think so, not without bars anyway

My older one peers out the top of the pet carrier box (the cardboard types) but doesn't climb iyswim

That's a relief. They are back in bed now. Which was expensive. And they have chewed to bits. Haven't decided if they are getting a new one for Christmas.

Mine can't. Not at all. They can hardly make it up a ramp. Not the most agile creatures. Cuddly though.

Mine used to climb the stairs at home, up and over the back door step (higher than the stairs) and one did escape quite a high box........but I guess mine had always been in training?
