Speyed the other day - problem urinating

My 11 month old bitch was speyed on Wednesday. She's recovering well, but have noticed she's got a problem urinating. She has had several accidents in the house. When she goes outside she'll squat down 4 or 5 times as if she's weeing and each time for 7 or 8 seconds. She did this yesterday evening and then came in and did a small wee on the carpet. Sometimes she'll wee for 4 seconds and then carry on squatting and other times nothing comes out. She'll whine frequently to be let outside.

Is this just to do with being rummaged around in during her operation?

I really wouldn't expect her to be like this - call your vet.

Thanks for reply! She's not doing it as much now. She does squat down for quite a while each time, but now only a couple of times on each outside trip.

She has left several poos around the house though and a couple of wees, which is very out of chararcter. She's not had any walks since the operation so I think I'll give it a go later. Vet said to keep her in as much as possible and if she could do without walks for a week then that would be great.

Did you call your vet to ask what they think?
