lol - no, at least not yet!

GrimmaTheNome · 04/12/2009 13:21

Don't hang anything too low and (seriously) don't put any chocolate decorations on it.

Drusilla · 04/12/2009 13:23

If it was just me and DH I wouldn't bother with a tree this year, but DS is only 4 so I have to do it! Pup is a Springer, it is a recipe for disaster!

My pup arrives tomorrow,we have 2 trees.Im interested to see if he attacks them.My 2 Chihuahuas take no notice of the tree at all but my cat knocks all the baubles off at least twice a day

BellasSparklyBaubles · 04/12/2009 13:25

I never decorate the bottom 1/3 of my tree

Drusilla · 04/12/2009 13:26

OOOh, what are you getting totallyfloaty?

Getting mine next weekend (tree, not pup) and either putting it on a big coffee table or putting the dog pen we bought a couple of months ago around the tree in the corner of the room. That might keep pup and DS away from it

wildfig · 04/12/2009 14:29

Christmas tree cancelled this year, due to lack of in-house vet and insufficient contents insurance.

tibni · 04/12/2009 14:35

I have a new puppy and a ds with ASD. Tree will go up late, on the coffee table and blocked off as much as possible. Not worried about the tree but either of my boys may chew something that will do them no good!

BellasSparklyBaubles · 04/12/2009 14:39

At least you're having a go, though, Tibni

Wildfig - don't be so boring!

totallyfloaty - get lots of sleep tonight, honey

I have a 2 year old puppy , who is eying up the tree, last year she ate a fer decorations, we have put the tree on the sideboard but i bet she still gets up there when i do the school run in a minute .

tibni- Ive also got a dd2 with ASD who is trying to get the tree, she keeps trying to eat the gingerbread men even though they are plastic .

tibni · 04/12/2009 14:45

marne - we have those gingerbread men too, and yes they are covered in bite marks! LOL

dd birthday is 14th so it has become the family tradition to put the tree up then so I am bracing myself! pup is only 19 weeks. Ds, 8, has already spotted some of his gifts playdoh - I told him it was for chistmas so my essentially non verbal severely learning disabled son went and fetched me the wrapping paper!

Totallyfloaty35 · 04/12/2009 15:29

Drusilla, its a Black Lab.We are all very excited and have been sorting out his crate today, however, now my 2 Chis are fast asleep in it
We have the childrens tree in the Diningroom/playroom and the dogs dont really go in there. The main tree is on top of the coffee table so im hoping he wont bother with it.
tibni,my dd3 keeps bringing me wrapping paper to wrap her things up,when i say i have nothing that needs wrapping she gets my bag and coat so i can go buy something

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/12/2009 22:48

weirdly enough woofs last year 6mths stayed away from tree, didnt eat anything - bubba 6mths didnt move so again tree safe

not sure if i will be able to say the same for baby this year

Drusilla · 05/12/2009 11:30

Well, once the decs were on it he seemed to completely lose interest! I don't let him in the sitting room unless one of us is with him anyway, but when he does get in here he is more bothered about sneeking onto the sofa than attacking the tree

Hope you are having a lovely time with your pup totally!
