Why does my cat have to wash her feet?!

My bad cat is driving me batty in this weather.I have mudprints everywhere!

It is bad enough that she trails mud straight in from outside. But now she has taken to walking over to her water bowl with her muddy feet and swishing her paws around until they are really wet. Then shaking the muddy water across the room, up the walls. She then jumps on my desk, leaving wet footprints across my work and jumps on my lap and dries her feet on my legs.

It is truely astonishing how much muddy water each foot of hers can hold!

Is she hinting for a foot spa for Xmas?

Because she is a cat and cat's hate to be dirty themselves don't mind the house being dirty though

I can imagine thats quite aggravating for you but really I think it's pretty genius of your cat to have the thought process to use the water from her bowl to wash in.

Perhaps you need to grab her when she has used her footbath and towel her off a bit? Or is that a bit too pampered pet?

lol at foot spa. You may have a point, she does like playing with the bubbles in our baths.

She is sat on my lap looking so happy and yet when I look around all I can see is mud so I think you are right slushy.

Pineapple, its one of my older cats that always likes to be towelled off after coming in from the rain its rather astonishing I get time to do any real work!

I wonder if I put a door mat under it she might wipe her feet after.
