Are these plants poisonous to my cats?

Recently planted some lilies in my garden but a cat owning friend has said they have heard some lilies can be toxic to cats if the pollen gets on their fur and they lick it off. Anyone heard of this? I have 5 cats so I want to find out what plants I should avoid.

Certain varieties are poisonous, there was a discussion on here recently.

I know it can be very nasty and pretty much untreatable if a cat does eat one of the nasty varieties.
