It's all about her quality of life.
It's a very hard decision to make, I had my old cat put to sleep a few years ago for similar reasons and it was awful. I felt like a murderer, but a few months later I was wishing I'd done it a little bit earlier to save her from the confusion of not being able to find her way around any more and bumping in to things.
If she's not in any pain or distress and enjoys life at the moment then leave it a little while, but you need to be honest with yourself about this.
You have my sympathies, it's not easy to deal with.

Slarty.

Yes, it's hard when there's no obvious suffering. All I can say is you will know when the time is right - either because you are ready or because you see some deterioration in her.

It's a hellish decision to make but when I was a vet nurse we saw very few that were done too early, and many more that, tbh, were done a bit too late.

All the best x

thanks for your messages

horrible, horrible decision, i always thought, we treat our animals better than humans, we put them out of their suffering - but it is a hard decision as to when
