Puppy Sitter - how to find one - Crouch End

I've seen some people have had problems with their puppy sitters and I am looking for one... how can I make sure they are trustworthy, very frightened to leave her with anyone I don't know but I need to one night a week, does anyone have any recommendations?

I found mine through a sign on the window of my local pet shop.

The pet shop owners knew the lady and could vouch for her.
