which dog is likely to be the LEAST allergenic,
a shih tzu , bichon frise , schnauzer or yorkshire terrier?

any opinions ?

I thought that the Obamas got a Portugese Water Dog because their daugthers are allergic and Porties are meant to shed less - although I don't think any dog is ever going to be exactly hypoallergenic .

i know there are quite few breeds that shed little and are better. i had narrowed it down but wondered if there was one that was better than the others iyswim

I think it depends what you are allergic to. Some of my clients can tolerate dog hair but not the dander and for others it is the other way around.
