I think my Guinea Pigs are playing me

They are certainly being spoilt.

They love broccoli, curly kale and carrots and eat the lot but they don't seem to be eating their cereal.

Do I just give them extra fresh stuff, no fresh stuff tomorrow so they have to eat the cereal or try a different brand?

We have had them for a week and the rescue centre said what we had bought them was fine.

they do seem to have widely varying natures. They get more comfortable with being held given time.

We have one who is happy to be held and will settle down, sort of roll onto her side and relax. She didn't immediately of course but she has come to do it with time. The other is a more nervy type. Always leaping about and full of action. She is ok being picked up etc but she doesn't relax on you IYSWIM. She'll stand upright, front paws on your chest and suck you in with her eyes. I find number 1 easier. I can lie down adn read a book with her on my lap and she'll just snooze whereas number2 wouldn't have that. She's more demanding in a way.

Sometimes if they are restless, it could be an indication they need to pee and are trying not to do it on you.

Mine used to eat the middle of the cucumber first and then the rest of it!

I'm loving your threads but it does make me hanker after having some again but we don't have any lawn
