I am getting guinea pigs!!

I took some newspapers down for them this morning and asked about rescuing a pet at the pet rescue place. They let me go in and see the animals

Really that DH has to work today so no time to go but I am determined we are going tomorrow to talk about things.

I have to choose which ones we would like and then in the next 7-10 days we will have a home visit to check we are suitable.

I could go and buy things from the pet shop but I like the idea of helping a charity rather than giving money to a business.

I went to Tesco and got them some kitten food too as they were asking for donations. And I have volunteered to help them once DS2 is in full time school.

I plan to sit in the run with them too.

I would love a small holding and would have cats, dogs, guinea pigs chickens and a lamb.

We are about to get 2 guinea pigs too! I've had a rabbit and hamster before but never owned GPs. We are all very excited in the McDreamy house!

My little piggies are in their run now scooting in and out of their igloo much to the cats interest.

The cats think they look plumptious

We have just had our home visit.

She seemed very surprised at how much stuff I had bought and thought the snuggly bed was hilarious.

She said they will call me tomorrow so I am assuming we have been approved.

I am not sure but they are adults.

We are picking them up at 3.30pm and then leaving them quietly in their hutch until after the kids have gone to bed.

They have eaten some carrot and pooed.
