PLEASE, I HAVE A NEW KITTEN AND SHE LOOKS MISERABLE !

I have tried to stroke her but she escaped so I have put her back in her box, with food, water, blanket, cuddly toy..what else can I do ??

Just leave her alone for a while in a quiet room, check on her every so often. She's probably just scared. How old is she? Have you seen her eating/drinking?

Put something in there that smells of you and let her get settled.

Try not to pet her, talk to her or stare at her.

She will approach you when she is ready.

Choose a quiet room and set up a box/bed, food and water and leave her to explore new surroundings. Try not to interact too much, let her gain her confidence, then let her explore another room. Build it up gradually, she will come to you when ready. HTH

Agree with all that - somewhere quiet with food, water and a nice bed so she can settle down and get used to the smells and sounds of the household without feeling threatened.

After a while, you could sit in the same room and just chat away to her so she gets used to you (dont stare) and perhaps offer some treats.

Give her a day, she will be fine

She is 9 weeks old and her name is Sweet Annabelle (not my idea )..she is in my bedroom now !. I have done everything you have said, hopefully she will be fine !! Thank you !!!

aw she's a baby, she knows what's what if she is already in your bedroom!!!
