Hi Aimsmum,

only thing for it is warm soapy water I am afraid, if you give the area a good soaking and use a cat comb before it dries you should get rid of the offending poo.

also - I would use a shampoo formulated for kittens in the future, but if you really can't stand it I can't see that baby shampoo would hurt just for once.

My mom is having the same prob with her kitten (a ragdoll).

Plus she is getting it on her feet cos she isn't covering her poo up properly.

My mom has been washing her feet with warm soapy water. The cat hates it.

My mo is hoping she will get the hang of it.

nutcracker - I have Norwegian Forest Cat Kittens - much like ragdolls (so cute!!).

I have to say that I had never previously owned (or at least mum and dad never did) a long haired cat, so we have never had this problem.

It is rather gross. Ours are also proving very unreliable on the toilet training front

My moms is brilliant at using the tray, hasn;t had one accident yet, t's just the covering up she can't quite get the hang of.

She is lovely though, mainly white with a bluey grey face.

Think yourself lucky it's only a kitten. I had to deal with same problem on our enormous (Long Haired) German Shepherd Dog when he had an upset tum a few months ago! DH got to hold his head while I had to deal with the unpleasant end!

When we got our 2 kittens, the girl was dreadful about covering it up in the litter tray. She would walk away & leave it, and her brother would go straight in & cover it up for her

Kittens are sooo cute you can forgive them anything!

We've BTDT with a Persian cat - eeuuch! If it comes down to it, a pair of scissors is useful.

think i'd also be inclined to cut the poo off if the fur is really long.it'll soon grow back and it wont hurt the cat
