Yes!!! They can live outside in a proper hutch with lots of hay and bedding for warmth in the cold weather, together with hutch hugger to keep warm in and perhaps tarpaulin to keep rain/wind out overnight. Also, good idea to attach some human hair to hutch (from barbers or something) to keep foxes at bay! Ours do and they are perfectly healthy - plus the guinea pig boarding lodge that they go to when we are on holiday have 100 cavies in outdoor hutches - and they are professional keepers!

Mine lives outside all year round. Never had a problem, just put plenty of hay in for it to snuggle up in and put a cover across the front of the hutch during the night.

Aw, poor soul! Well, take my NO! with a grain of salt, though, because we do live in Scotland.

Oh excellent that's great news, as keeping them outside is the only way we'll be able to have them, and the dd's are so desperate to have some.
