My Bengal male cat has gone missing 5 days now

My cat has been missing on the odd day here and there but this is the longest he has been away. We are going on holiday next week and he is booked to go into the cattery.
I think he is on the prowl for females (he is a done tom) and we live in the countryside so my other fear is that some local has shot him or a fox has attaked him
I'll let the neighbour know that he is missing and maybe when he does turn up they could take him to the cattery.

oh no! i hope he turns up. my neighbour has a male bengal and he is a bugger for disappearing so dont lose hope yet! good luck x

One of my cats disappears more in the summer. I think as it is warmer they don't need as much food so just don't bother coming for a few meals. Thats my opinion anyway.
We should all invest in those little cat cameras that were on the gadget show that allow you to see where they go! Maybe we could volunteer to be mumsnet cat camera testers!
Cross fingers for you, love them to bits but they do cause alot of worry sometimes.

The day he disapeared he was acting a bit strangely. The kids were home and they kept disturbing him (he likes sleeping on their beds), the our other cat would not let him share his second favourite spot (our bed).
So he was wandering in the garden in the middle of the day. He is a night cat (always sleeps all day) so it was strange to see him out.
Also that evening my DH decided to move the tent trailer and to my Bengal, the tent trailer moving usually means they are going to the cattery.
So that's why i'm hopeful that he is just hiding and that nothing bad has happened.
Thought with all the rain he would have been back, but nothing

I really hope he's back soon.

Bengals are beautiful.

Hope he turns up soon, one of my cats disapeared for 5 months and then just turned one evening at the front door as though she'd never been gone.

Thanks for all your thoughts. He is a big tough cat, all muscle so maybe he fought off some wild animal. But whatever he is chasing, he is really going for it.
Just hope he does not turn up hurt or something, our poor neighbours get nervous about looking after our pets as over the last 5yrs, one big Koi died in the pond, one chicken and all our cockatiels were frightened to death by something in the garden that attacked the chicken.
So usually we put the cats in the cattery so they don't have to worry about them, just the chickens and the goldfish.
