Cheap Puppies advertised on Gumtree

I am browsing the puppies for sale on EPupz, Free Ads etc, and happened to find myself on the London Gumtree where there were lots of single puppies of various breeds advertised for between £160 and £200 pounds. This seems highly suspect to me, and I wondered if anyone knew any more about these ads.

This is a typical example: www.gumtree.com/london/23/42286923.html

I am really puzzled, and tempted to email them and pretend to be interested.

They are a scam

Stopfighting · 20/07/2009 23:36

I thought so

So do they have litters of puppies from farms?

I don't think they have puppies at all - as far as I know they ask for a deposit and arrange to deliver the puppy, then the puppy never arrives (or something like that)

Ah!

Maybe I'll email one and ask to come and view the puppy..

Is there no stone left unturned when it comes to ripping people off?

gumtree is RIDDLED with scamsters!

Oh. I didn't realise.

I wonder how many people fall for these 'bargains'

Theres lots of them about! Though a lot of the ads on epupz are genuine. Though why anyone would pay a deposit for a dog they hadn't seen is beyond me!
