Where do you get a puppy from?

The local RSPCA centre doesn't have any puppies (and all the older dogs seem to be Staffordshire bull terriers!) and I can't find anywhere else.

I'm happy to have a mutt, I'm not fussed about pedigree, so where do I look?.
