Do cats ever just wonder off for a while .....or should i be out checking the roads :(

One of our cats didn't come home last night and hasn't been home all day. It's not like her. She did disappear once quite a while ago for about 3 days but it turned out she had crossed the busy road and couldn't get back!

I've been over there calling her today but no sign. I'm getting really worried......

most cats have second homes, she is probably getting fed at one of your neighbours.

My cat went missing for 11 days when he was younger. I'm sure he got locked in somewhere as he was very thirsty and hungry when he got back. Definitely worth asking neighbours to check sheds/garages etc. although I did this and it still took 11 days for him to come back.

maybe shes shut in somewhere ( in a shed or garage).If shes not back tomorow maybe ask the neighbours to check to see. My dm's cat is always going off for days but always comes back. I wouldnt worry tiffini is probably right, maybe someone is feeding her.

3 of my cats went missing last year, never wandered so was very worried, even got to the point (after a week) of printing off loads of posters with pics on, and posting them through hundreds of doors, ended up they were 10 min walk away, in a cosy barn, living it up catching mice i had to literally force them into the cat boxes, they didnt want to come home, and then continued to go to this farm barn on and off, now 1 of the cats hasnt been back since november but i know he is safe as i regulary ask the farmer if he is still there etc, i wouldnt worry as yet. maybe if you are still concerned and is no sign on mon to ring around local vets etc to enquire (that is what i did)

She has come back However we had to take the other cat to her new home on Sunday as we are moving this Friday. Saffie came home about half hour after we got back !!! Glad she's ok though
