PLEASE HELP!! Moving in a week and just been told i cant take the cats to the new house.... please please help me find them a home together...

I really don't want the cats protection league to take them because i dont want them to be split up.

They are both 2 - Saffie was 2 on April 1st and is a tortoisehell and the most daft & loving cat you can imagine!!
Zephyr will be 2 on 27th May and she is black and white and very pretty. She was hit by a car about a year ago and had an op on her hip. She is fine now but likes to be indoors - her accident made her a bit scared of being out although she will go out to the toilet. She loves to snuggle up round your neck for a cuddle!!

They have been together since they were both 6 weeks old and they both get very sad if the other isn't around which is why i want to keep them together. I would also prefer to know where they are so i can hear how they are from time to time.

I hope some of you can help us!

Oh I really wish I could have them but we are not allowed pets in this house. One of our visiting cats had kittens in our garden on Monday/Tuesday and I so wanted to keep them! I do hope you find a home for them quickly.

Do you feel that thet would cope with 2 lively kiddies. DS is 5.5 and DD is 3.5 (with SN).

We were thinking of getting a cat but not until after our hols in June, but I am sure we could sort something out!

we're thinking about a new cat (old one died a year ago) right now........I was going to leave it til after august (hols) but maybe not....

I have got pics - i will find them now and get a link to them - they are the most child - tolerant cats I've ever met!! Saffie is DD's cat - dd is 3.4 and she carries her around, chases her plays games with her (she throws the little caps from the tops of fruit shoots and saffie chases and brings them back!!) Admittedly if DD gets too rough she'll give her a scratch but only if DD hurts her first!! Zephyr prefers me and dp more and is more of a quiet and cuddly cat but doesn't mind sitting up with dd for a cuddle. They are both tolerant of ds too who's only 11 months and has pulled their tails a few times!! They just walk away.... ok will go find some pics for you

THe one of SAffie (tortoishell) was taken in october last year, the one of Zephyr is when she was a bit younger but she's still the same just a bit bigger!!!

Just noticed - Saffie's eyes are green in that photo but they are normally bright orange!!

Right then, what sort of food do they eat?Are they done!

They are both done. They eat whatever you give them!! We've never had a strict food diet with them so they eat biscuits, tins, pouches, anything. At the moment they are on felix and go cat pouches. They are both toilet trained (they did a wee in the house not long ago but we discovered that a big tomcat was coming in through the catflap and terrorizing them!)

The only thing is they aren't vaccinated because when we first had them we never let them out or intended too because we live right next to a busy road so they might need that - it's up to you. They have had regular check ups though and they are both fine and healthy.

yes,we have a garden. I am getting quite excited about this! I hope DH will co-operate.

Swiperfox, spoken to DH, showed him the piccies, DS has had a look too!
I think DH is keen to feed then that complete food stuff (is it iams, or something) rather than tinned food. Do you feel they would be OK, or could adapt to that?

There are a lot of cats around here, perhaps we should find out a bit more about the vaccinations. Do you have any idea how much they cost initially, and for the yearly boosters. It's been a few years since we lost our cats, at the tender ages of 14 and 15! They had been my cats from before I'd met DH.

They have both had iams before and loved them so that wouldn't be a problem at all. I think that was the first thing we brought them up on.
I've got no idea how much vaccinations are ... I've got a feeling they aren't extortionate but I'm really not sure at all. The only reason we didnt get them done is because we kept them in and then when they started going out we never got round to it We did talk to the vet about it and he said obviously as a vet he had to recommend it but it wasn't a huge problem if we didnt do it
