My guinea pig has died :(

My guinea pig has died. We have had him nearly 5 years.

He was fine when I went to bed, squeaking etc, but he is laid with his eyes open and dh won't be in till later.

I've put his house over him so the dc can't see him.

I'm just about to break it to the kids.

Thanks, he was an indoor pig which is why he lived a little bit longer.

The other one is very very quiet, they used to kiss each other through the cages

I've told em, dd2 is fine, no tears etc, she is wanting to look at him.

dd1 is heartbroken and was screaming etc, she is calmer now, but still teary.
