monster/horse/ puppy in shame!!!!

as some of you know i have been having hassle getting the 10.5stone monster puppy in car and then gps came to stay and granny did lots of training

i can now get puppy of 10.5 stone in the car - he jumps in by himself with the bribe of cheese

yesterday i open a new packet and cut a sliver off and then placed in car and he got in, he got his cheese, was praised and he went back into house

all was well

i went for a wee and came back into kitchen and the greedy sod has eaten the WHOLE slab of cheeses that i had left on the side

thats 500g of cheese

obv it was my fault that i didnt put the cheeses back in fridge but still, this puppy will eat ANY food he can get his paws on!!

OMG!

My mum's old dog (RIP) once ate a whole block of butter, including most of the foil packet

Hope puppy doesn't have cheese dreams

Yet again, I'm so glad we have a dachshund:

a) he weights 10.5 Kg not stone
b) he can't reach the counter top.

When you say 'puppy', is he still growing?

GrimmaTheNome - yes be grateful your puppy isnt 10.5 stone or 66.6kg

plus when he doesnt want to do something, he gets very stubbon and goes dead weight, which i am sure doubles if not triples his weight!!

he is almost same height as kitchen work surface and if he puts paws up (which obv we/he know he shouldnt do) then is taller

i was told puppys are pups till about 18mth/2

yes he has more flesh to grow in to

What breed do you have?

great swiss mountian dog

and he is certainly great big

I'm sure the the dc will enjoy the pony rides on him!

nothing quite like having a big one between your legs

as long as he doesn't like to be the third person in your bed!

that would NEVER happen

he is BANNED from upstairs!!

plus if he ever did get in bedroom and on bed, he would hog the whole bed when lying on it

he is over 6ft when lying streched out

mmm my dog ate a whole homemade quiche cooling on the worktop followed by a sweet yummy hyacinth bulb

I love big dogs

yes I did think he would fully utilise a king sized bed to himself.

The block of cheese was clearly just an appetiser mouthful to him.

What's next the training list?

ggirl - bad dog - the quiche i can understand, but a flower/bulb

friends dog was VERY naughty and stole a cake she had made from the work top - it was made from 70%coco (which is fatal to dogs)

dog had tummy pumped at vets and then was then quite poorly - £3k later (thank god had insurance) all fine now

dogs CAN NOT have normal human choccy - VERY bad for them - so never give as treats

and NEVER leave a cake made by it in reach

cargirl - yep just a small snack

not sure about next for training - maybe using a pooper scooper by his self?

big dogs= big poos

my friends dog had horrid squits for a week, 4 days of which she was taking samples for the vet (nice!)

She decided to have a malteser from the box behind the living room curtain on the windowsill. Said dog immediately sat down for a treat - he had been sucking them out one at a time through the tiny hole that you can shake them out of............plus as an assistant dog he was rarely out of sight long enough to knick one!

The time he ate an entire pack of chocolate buttons off the spare bed along with wrappers he did have to get his stomache pumped out.

One of our old dogs once ate a whole box of Milk tray. She was actually quite old at the time and "played" on being old, so no long walks etc, but she managed to climb a flight of stairs and then get onto the bed, thing is there were no ill effects at all

i said to her owner a mum of 8 and 10yr olds - least she knows what to expect when her children go drinking
