Ask them to bring forward the appointment, even by a week or two. If they won't do that then take her to another vet as they sound a bit unhelpful tbh.

I took in a stray that was suspected to be pregnant, took her to the vet, he couldn't be certain by feeling her tum, they neutered her a few days later and she wasn't, but even if she was I made the right decision, she was only young and it would have been too much for her. Plus as already pointed out there are enough cats in rescues out there needing homes as it is.

alisha29 · 01/06/2009 12:35

their fully booked till then

Alisha, ring round all your local vets, explain the situation and ask if they can fit her in for a spay this week. One of them may have a slot free, then go back to your own vet and tell them that you were not happy to have her aborted 4 weeks post conception so you have made other arrangements. The should understand and, if they don't, they are very unreasonalbe so you should not let it worry you!

alisha29 · 02/06/2009 11:19

i know that with dogs they will do an emergency spay, some quite late into pregnancy. If you dont want to breed from your at then its worth doing (especially if possible pregnancy is early). Havent read the rest of the posts yet so sorry if its already been said.

Hi Alisha sound like your cat is still in heat if all the males are congregating in your garden. You will have to be extra vigilant with your female and when opening your door as the males will stop at nothing to get to her. Try Spraying them with water,As many times as it takes.
I found a hosepipe does the job with so many cats at one time, (after taking in a lost unspayed female) Also the males will mark and spray your garden which absolutely stinks.

alisha29 · 03/06/2009 17:38

spugs she is going for pre op next week its terrible they are making a right row think they go home for dinner then come back again probly should spray them with water lil but i feel so guilty its a shame
