got 2 hammies today......

we adopted them from friends emergrating to austraila
2 boys they are very cute!
have been told they like grapes and monkey nuts what else do they like? and any other advice welcome!

ours liked lettuce - tbh they are pretty low maintenance - do you keep the 2 together ?, because they usually like to be solitary and may fight !be prepared to get a 2nd cage

they have each got their own cage

Blondie told me to give them Hammie Porridge - Farley's baby porrdige mixed with water. My hammie loved that.

A teeny bit of meat once a week or so (roast chicken,cat food etc).

Dandelion leaves.

Dog biscuits (hard things v important to avoid overgrown incisors)

Brazils nuts, walnuts. Not conkers (poisonous).

Carrots, sweet peppers, apple.

All tihs in addition to a good quality hamster mix.

never give hammies lettuce - it gives them sore tummies and the runs

baby porridge and they will love you forever

def like nuts -i find rare white walnuts are their fav

a few strands of grass

carrots, beans,pappers, cucumber, peas, sweetcorn

mine also love the lick yogurt pots out

ours are very pampered
