Just got him last night, golden labrador who we have named Jasper, and apart from being very cute and the obvious weeing and pooing everywhere, he smells!!!

Has spent last 8 weeks with 7 other pups and his mum and dad so is to be expected I guess, but can I bath him or is he too young????

Any advice appreciated, advice on the weeing and pooing welcome too

I bathed both my pups as soon as I got home from the breeders with them, they really stunk. Just try and dry him off as much as you can and keep him warm.

You shouldn't really need to bath him unless he's been kept in very poor conditions at the breeders

If you do bath him use special dog shampoo or baby bath - never human shampoo as dogs' skin is very sensitive.

I'd be inclined to just wipe him over with baby wipes if you need to.

I bathed my puppy, he just smelt strongly of puppy wee, so strongly dd(2 at the time) retched him when she smelt him! We just bathed him in water.
