Where would I get a budgie from?

DD is very much into birds and I would love to buy her a small bird/budgie but I wouldn't know where to get one from.

Any ideas.

I didn't think pet shops were allowed to sell them now

yes they are still allowed to sell them.

I bought both my budgie and my parrot from a petshop. Although it was a lovely local one who I trust (wouldn't have bought a parrot from just any petshop iyswim).
