Im really scared that my dog may be pregnant - but shes only a year old and I think far too young to be a mum. We had planned on having her spayed but werent quick enough before her first season.
She has very enlarged boobies and seems to have put on weight, shes been off her food and seems less energetic.
We were SO careful when she was in season, always walked her on a lead, and shes never alone in the garden (which is very secure anyway), so I cant imagine that she really could be pregnant - hopefully its a phantom and we can get her spayed ASAP!
My only doubt is that she was alone with a male dog about 4-5 weeks after first blood loss - but i know the season only lasts 21days and the bitch is not fertile for the whole of that time - so surely she cant be??
What do you think?
We have appointment at vets tomorrow to find out.
