I have a 13 wk old Westie pup. He had a pretty bad start so that's why I think I am worried. We bought him a month ago and within 24 hrs we were at the vet and she was basically saying it was touch and go. Forward a month lots of tlc and medical care he has been fine for about a fortnight and had his 2nd vacs on Weds.
Today he has been a little playful and has eaten his breakfast and lunch but sniffed at his dinner and has been sleeping for past 4-5 hrs.
I do feel worried as not sure how much he should be sleeping. Please help ...

Hi everyone

He is much better today thanks and I went on a dog forum lol and apparently puppies do sleep lots so maybe he hasn't been getting enough. He has eaten and played in the garden.

think of a puppy like a nb baby- who sleep 20hrs a day

I used to laugh when people said "oh having a puppy is like having a baby in the house"
Er no it's not, my babies didn't chew the door frames or eat electric sockets off the wall, or eat socks and slippers.
Glad he's ok though he sounds adorable

well least your puppy is, even though your baby didnt
