Dog bottom licking question!

Our just over 4 months old bitch has started licking her bottom all the time. She licks the blanket she's been lying on too.

She is wormed and flead up to date. She has no problem pooing and weeing. Is she just an overly clean dog?!

How big is she (just wondering beacuse smaller dogs generally come into season earlier than bigger ones). Does her vulva look swollen?

She's a mutt. Mother is a springer and father is lab/collie/staffie, so she's not that small.

I haven't investigated too much as she's not keen. At a quick glance nothing looks swollen.

Might be anal glands. Get the vet to check, if they need expressing the vet will probably offer to show you how to do it - just say no!
