imo a pet dying is like a human dying iynwim.
allow your self to greive. when my dog had to be put down I was devestated. I couldn't believe how sad I was. I was lucky the people I worked with new how much I love that dog so they were sympathetic.

Marie

How sad, sorry for you, it's rotten.

It takes time, don't be embarrassed or feel it's "only a pet". Your darling cat was part of your family. you must have agonised over the decision but it was the right thing, or you wouldn't have done it.

How do your DC feel, do they want a "service" for your cat? That might feel better for them and you, although you might have to do a bit of improvising.

We lost our darling Parsley about six months ago. I still cry thinking about her and so does DS, even thou we have just got new kittens . They are the "best cats (who are alive) in the world" according to DS. That might be a nice way to think about it.
