Has anyone used an automatic pet feeder?

Has anyone used an automatic pet feeder and would you recommend one? We go away for the odd weekend (couple of nights) and would like to leave our cat wet food at the usual times. Someone will come in once or twice to make sure she's OK but she does like to keep to her regular mealtimes!

We use a round wind up one where the top moves round. Its absolutely fine for the weekend and our cat is fine with it! Sorry don't know the make.
Go for it!

Yes, we use ours all the time. Makes it easy to go away overnight without having to ask neighbours for favours etc. Also, when we do go on holiday, whoever comes to care for the cat only has to come once a day.

We just make absolutely sure the battery is working before we go away and leave a spare out for the carer in case the lids don't open one day.

Our cat is much happier at home (even if we aren't there) than in a cattery, I'm sure.

They're really useful. We're hoping to be able to use ours on the baby eventually

We've had to get a clockwork one, because our cats always used to attempt to break into the device, knock the batteries out and end up going hungry.

Yes, ours is called skirting boards and door frames

oh yes. They are excellent. Great for weekends. Our neighbour uses one too - means we don't need to feed their cat quite so often.
