Where to find house trained dog?

DS wants a dog, I'm keen too, but would rather re-home one already house trained rather than get a pup. Does this sound possible?

Anyone tried Battersea Dogs Home?

its definitly possible,we once got a gsd from the rspca whose previous owners had split up and have got to say he was the best behaved dog ive ever met and as ive worked with dogs for 11 years ive met a few !with rescue centres like battersea if you tell them what your looking they will match you to the most suitable dogs, thats when it gets hard having to choose!good luck im sure you will find a lovely dog x

I would definately go to a re-homing centre. They will have what you are looking for
Goodluck!

yes it is possible. mine is houetrained. we got him from a rescue centre about 2 months ago. a good centre ashould help you find the right dog for you and be able to tell you if they are housetrained, HTH

It is also possible to get a puppy that is house trained if you look round for a respectable breeder. We recently got a 9 week old weimaraner who was fully paper trained he is now 13 weeks old and rarley does a thing on his paper as he does it when he is out!!!

Thanks - are there any other re-homing centres in London apart from battersea?

Not sure if there are any other re-homing centres in London, but we got our hound from Battersea about 6 years ago and he has never poo-ed or wee-ed in the house, ever. Sometimes he is sick, but that's another story... I definitely would never get another puppy, especially if my kids were young - enough poo already .
