My cat had her babies yesterday

She gave birth to 2 little black kittens

I have named them "Jet" and "Ebony"

When she was pregnant, I told my husband that i would keep 2 of whatever she had. Since she only had 2, I am keeping them both.

He thinks that I am being unfair as his sister's daughter would like a kitten for her 9th birthday which is in a few weeks.

Do you think I am being unfair or is it reasonable for me to keep 2 kittens as I had originally planned?

I dont think your being unfair at all.

However, you have to keep the kittens with their mother for the first 9 weeks of their lives so your sister's daughter wouldn't have them on her birthday.

Why dont you ask her to get a kitten from a rescue centre?

my sister in laws daughter is the type of girl who gets whatever she wants and she wants one of Tilly's babies.

A month ago, we were out and she saw puppies. I decided to buy one and she stood there crying because "she wanted a puppy".

My sister in law got her one.

They also have another dog, 2 horses and 3 adult cats.

I don't see why I shouldn't be able to keep 2 kittens as I had originally planned to just because of a spoilt little madam!

I would have never let the kittens leave their mummy too early anyway. It wouldn't be fair to my cat or her kittens.

Keep the 2 kittens as you planned.

Oodles of kittens in rescue centres so your niece can have her pick of those.

Yes, agree with Bella, you shd keep yours.

Tell her how kind she is being to the rescue kittens (cos she is!).

My two babies kittens are arriving in 9 days' time. Can't wait.

How's it gone Paula? Has she looked at some rescue kitties?

PaulaMummyKnowsBest · 22/03/2009 10:25

no, they have gone away for a few days.

I think that if she can't have one of mine, then she won't be getting one as her parents don't want to pay for one

My kittens are getting cuter each day and their mummy is doing such a fab job with them
