Goldfish in outdoor pond?

We are moving and the people we are buying the house from have fish in a small pond which they will leave if we want them to. They are vacating the property in two weeks but we won't move in until July and don't live locally. Will the fish be OK? Might be a dumb question but have only ever had them in a bowl and fed them in that before.

not for that long without food - you would need to go over there at least once a week and drop some in and check that anti-heron measures are in place or they won't be there by the time you move in.

sorry, just got the "don't live locally bit" - there are animal minders who can be paid to go and feed animals/fish while you're away, so you might be able to find a local one to go in once a week. Or make friends with a neighbour very quickly!

Hmm - that's what I thought although once we've moved we'd love to have them. Will find out about the neighbours and what the current owners do if they're away etc.
