My next door nieghbour has 7 bloody cats that are constantly pooing in my garden, my kids play in the garden and it is an esential part of ds's physio to go out there and trampoline, i am sick of clearing up poo everytime they want to use the garden.

Any deterent ideas?

We were going to get the rubber spikes but they just come in the gate or over the shed.

Shiny things at their eye height. Empty plastic bottles of pop that have been filled with water should do it. Or try old CD'S.
They shine in their eyes and they don't like it.

A shot gun!!

I used to have the same problem and nothing works.

Well actually a few times I threw potatoes and squirted water pistols but it never bothered them enough to stay away.

I think the only other thing you could do is get a cat of your own.

Threw potatoes LOL at the picture that brings to mind.
What about other vegetables?

The only way to do it - get a cat! A bloody great Tom who will beat up the other cats, and will always poo in someone else's garden!

Rubber spikes etc useless - they will just step around them in a careful kitty way. Also, being evil, cunning buggers, they will work out you are trying to keep them away, and see it as a challenge.

They sell Lion poo at garden centres now. Worth a go?

ask a neighbour if you can "dogsit" and borrow a dog.

Water pistol should do the trick.

Yes I have a large german shepherd I could rent to you for a bit. We have a no cat in yard at anytime policy!

Cocktail sticks dotted about - not great with the kids I know but if you have them round the edges or where the kids can stay away from for a bit they'll soon have the desired effect!

My FIL had a thing that emitted a sound that the cats detested and it has kept his garden clear of cats.

water pistols to fire at them or orange peel is apparently something they hate. i have tehm from all down my road in my garden and i dont like the poo they leave around the place.
