Very excited, we have bought two new kittens, they will be with us in about a month as "grandchildren" for our old cat.

the boy is called Bruce but the girl doesn't have a name - any suggestions?

I am hopeless at names but congratulations on your new additions!

ilovepeppapig · 26/02/2009 19:43

we have just called our kitten Tilly

twoluvlykids · 26/02/2009 19:48

If the boy's Bruce, surely the girl has to be Sheila?

beautifulgirls · 26/02/2009 20:00

definately "Sheila"

bella29 · 26/02/2009 20:28

Another vote for Sheila

PaulaMummyKnowsBest · 26/02/2009 21:38

my cats are called Tilly and Jasmine

tigerdriver · 26/02/2009 23:25

Thanks for the suggestions. Sheila's (er)great. But I don't think it will run with DH.

Could be Bruce and Anthea I suppose but I don't expect DH will go for that either. He'll probably want something like Hecuba or Isolde

Tess of course.

LadyGlencoraPalliser · 27/02/2009 16:04

Bruce and Hecuba? Not exactly Salt n Pepa, now is it?

tigerdriver · 27/02/2009 23:42

For the record, we told DS about the kittens today (which just happens to be his birthday, a happy accident they are not presents). Bruce's full name is Bruce Springsteen now.

On this theme, I suppose the other one could be Patti, Clarrie or Stevie. however I suspect a name from Ben 10. aaaargh

we have a mooky moomin and a thor-bob....how about one of those names....

tigerdriver · 09/03/2009 20:44

Finally settled on Bruce Springsteen and Rosie.

Our house is now full of water bowls, mice toys and an enormous kitten climbing frame. Just counting down the days til we collect them.

So glad you didn't go for Hecuba.

I mean, would you call your child Hecuba?

tigerdriver · 09/03/2009 20:54

No I'd call a child Snowdrop though (see flower thread)!

We told DS he could name her and Rosie was the first name he came up with, thank goodness, it could have been anything.

Snowdrop's quite cute.

Hecuba would be tantamount to child abuse in my book.
