Further to my What do I do? thread, the cat is having best tuna for tea. Will it make her poorly if she has the whole tin?

She can't live purely on tuna - she will get ill... Is that what you mean? Sorry, but I don't think I've seen the other thread.

No, just for tea tonight.

I think if it's in brine it could be quite bad for her. My cats love tuna though.

Just rinse it if in brine.

Our cat has a tin of tuna every now and again for a change and he's fine if that helps

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 24/02/2009 16:26

Give her half and stick the rest in the fridge for tomorrow.

Nabster · 24/02/2009 16:26

it was in spring water which she has drunk. the tuna was meant for the kids.

Sounds like our house - the animals eat better than we do!

NorbertDentressangle · 24/02/2009 16:32

I wouldn't let ours have a whole tin (but then again she threw up on the sofa overnight so I'm tempted never to feed her again)

A whole tin would definitely make ours puke

We give our cats tuna in whatever it comes in when we've run out of their usual stuff. Once in a while doesn't seem to matter.

Nabster · 24/02/2009 17:04

She is only getting it because of DS2.
