can anyone recommend a spray that REALLY gets rid of tom cat spray smells?

Have tried every suggestion that anyone has had so far, but nothing will get rid of the smell. The stuff they sell in the vet's is £12, which I would happily buy if I knew it worked. Can anyone please suggest which, if any, of the products designed for this purpose actually work? many thanks.

Bump, would like to know this too!

it's horrid isn't it? He's sprayed in our bedroom, so to stop him doing it again we have to keep the door closed all the time. So every time you open the door now you're overpowered with the smell of it. It's horrible to have to sleep in there! We have a wooden floor, so I've scrubbed and scrubbed but nothing seems to get rid of it.

My top two suggestions would be Simple Solution from PAH or Odour Eliminator from your vets.

Have you tried these?

Also, it may have soaked into the wood so rather than scrubbing you may need to let the odour remover soak in too, iyswim.

It is vile.

In our case the tom cat isn't ours, but takes any opportunity it can to get into the house.

If it can't get into the house it sprays on the windowsills which makes the room smell anyway.

What I really need is a tom cat repellent!!

i have the same problem with my boy too he;s been done but still sprays in a corner in the kitchen and it has soaked into the laminate flooring and edge of kitchen cupboards so cant get rid of the smell. he then did it in ds's bedroom the other day and i went crazy.

a woman at work suggested spraying tcp in the places he does it to kill the smell. ive not tried it yet but it sounds good
