Cat been missing since Friday, so sad

I have 3 cats, 2 of them are indoor cats, one of the indoor ones got out Friday night and hasn't been seen since.

He is such a frisghtened timid thing and wouldn't have gone far, usually if he gets out he runs back in or hides under the shed until we drag him out.

He won't come when called, we have been out every half hour shouting him, waving food aabout etc.

I don't know what else to do, going to go round the neighbours gardens again today and maybe do flyers but rapidly giving up hope considering it has been freezing the past 3 nights and now snowing.

He's not used to the outside let alone snow.

Am so upset today to think of him freezing and starving to death, stupid bloody cat.

Ring any local animal shelters or Vets surgeries on the off-chance that somebody has found him.
Does he have a collar on?

I would check your neighbours gardens/sheds/under bushes and yes do flyers.

My indoor cat does this from time to time, she runs out then literally freezes with fright. Why are cats so silly?

I hope you find him. Go out and shout whilst walking around, I do this and yes it feels silly but she comes back.

Try to shakes cat biscuit box, that also works.

Thanks well the good news is I FOUND HIM

In neighbours playhouse so he has been within shouting distance for 3 whole days.

Stupid stupid cat they are worse than the DC sometimes! Dp went over and shouted there yesterday as well. He seems none the worse for his ordeal, starving hungry though. And the other two are spitting at him

Glad you found him but just to let you know for future reference-

when we moved here 3 years ago our cat (outdoor cat but never wanders far) went missing. After 7 weeks I eventually accepted that he was gone . We aquired 2 pesky little kittens. 3 weeks later (so 10 weeks in total) our cat came back one very cold and rainy night!!!!

I cried buckets. We quickly gave the kittens to a better home and have been happily reunited with our cat ever since!!!!
