My cat has broken one of his canine teeth - about a quarter of an inch of the tip has broken straight off. Dd said she saw it about a week ago and forgot to tell me, and he has been happy and friendly and eating and hunting (a red shank at the weekend!) Do I need to do anything about it? He gets INCREDIBLY stressed when we take him to the vets, and the vet and I both need blood transfusions afterwards. Obviously I will take him if necessary, but I would like to avoid it if I could. Any thoughts?

Ring the vet? Sounds like he may need to be checked out, tbh.

Bother. I was hoping everyone would come and tell me that it's fine, I can just leave it. Better get the gardening gloves, the fencing mast, the forked stick, the reinforced basket and the antibiotics ready!

I would definitely ring them first if he's that anti going. Maybe doing nothing is the right treatment and they will tell you not to bother coming in?
