Dog losing hair

I got my rescue greyhound just over a month ago. I've noticed that her hair all over is looking a little thinner and she actually has a couple of bald spots now - on the back of both haunches, one on her tummy and on her "elbows" on her front legs.

She's not scratching a lot, but I have noticed her "chewing" herself a few times - but nothing excessive. I frontlined her a week ago and they said she'd been done at the rescue as well.

I certainly can't see any fleas (but she's black) as this was the first thing I thught of. Could it be a coat change type thing as she was living outside before and is now inside? Could it be a stress type reaction to a new home? Is it likely to be fleas?

Could be all sorts of things - my dog seems to have some sort of seasonal alopaecia. Doesnt seem to be any particular reason for it.

Probably should check with vet if there is any likely cause in your dog's case and therefore cure. I rather like my dog's smooth tum!

Sorry, had to got do some mummy stuff... just to add, when we were looking at causes of baldness they can include things like mites which is why it's best to get it looked at.
