here

What do you think about this?

DD will be disappointed (its one of the few things she loves to watch on TV) but I tend to think its about time there was some pressure on some of the breed standards.

Great decision. Crufts represents so much of what dog-owning should not be about. God, have you ever been? Scary, scary people. Hopefully now idiots will stop buying dogs that are so over/inbred they can't give birth naturally, can't breathe properly etc etc.

Do you get where I'm coming from on this?!

Fantastic ,perhaps the Kennel club will sort its breed specification out now

Its the right decision i think

I am happy about this but also feel that we should be careful not to alienate the KC because they're really the only organisation who can actually have any impact on breeders, breeds and the welfare of our pets in the long term.

I hope the BBC did this on the basis that the decision will be reconsidered if the KC can provide evidence that they are addressing the issues of breed-linked health problems.
