Puppy marking

I have a 5 month old border terrier puppy who is now house trained. However, he is a boy and on occasions 'marks' in the only room on the ground floor of our house where we have carpet. It is not a proper wee but a smallish one which stains the carpet and it's rather annoying.

Does anyone have any advice how I can stop him doing this?

Get him neutered ASAP.

What do you use to clear up the wee? Its best to use a special odour removing pet spray or biological washing powder as otherwise he can smell where he has been and will go there again. I think he's too young to be neutered, most vets ill only neuter from over 6mths and some recommend waiting until 12mths when their joints are better developed. I have a 12wk old Border Terrier x, but I won't neuter him until 12mths.
