dh "hates our dog"

My dh has told me our little lively jrt is "past his sell-by date". He admits he is bored with him, does not wish to waste time on him and wants rid.. if he is home alone with him the little dog wont even stay in the same room. Dh never remembers to give him fresh water and has been known to forget to feed him. What shall I do? I'd be so upset to let him go.

They do slow down with age ... but mine used to still find the energy to be naughty!

Seriously, we have now got a rescue JRT aged about 1 and he is so full of energy I can't believe it.

Do you ever watch the dog whisperer? I LOVE HIM!! Look online for tips if not.

Your hubby is a twat. But I don't suppose you're going to dump him for not loving the dog so you may have to get rid of the dog? very sad.

Dh doesn't like our Staffy, we have had her almost a year, i knew when i got her that dh doesn't like dogs but i thoughtr she would grow on him. He does feed and water her though but has never taken her for a walk.

I would dump the husband and not because he didn't like the dog but because when you take on a responsibility you see it through and when you don't want to you re-home it somewhere happy.

I would not want to be in a relationship with someone who would neglect a pet. And that he got it in the first place
