Help needed with cat's fish flavoured dribble...

Well fish-fragranced really (have not actually tasted it).

When he's happy and purring he dribbles over his chin, and when it accumulates he violently shakes his head sending showers of fishy dribble everywhere. Now I love my cat and willing to put up with a lot, but this is yucky.

Do other cat owners have fishy dribble problems? Does the fish fragrance indicate any underlying problems?
