Is it possible to train kittens in any way??

...because my two, who are lovely on all other ways, keep going behind the TV to play with/chew the cables and they just can't be allowed to do that! We've tried blocking the way but they're so agile that they just climb over.

They know they're not allowed because as soon as one of us comes in the room they start to extract themselves and look really guilty but they will not stop doing it.

It sounds silly but it's getting me really stressed because I don't want them to hurt themselves or damage the cabling!

Can you put some of those tubes over the cables, the ones for tidying bunches of cable?

Or just slap them on the head...

...or maybe supply them with a more interesting toy that'll distract them.

The tubes are a good idea. They have many toys - a big cardboard box, some ping-pong balls, a brown paper bag - but I have a horrid feeling that the TV has now become more attractive due to its forbidden nature
