Sorry if TMI but why does the dog eat my knickers when I'm pregnant?

Last time it was a puppy so I put it down to that. However after 2 years of her not eating my knickers I am pregnant again and she steals them out of the washing basket to chew. Can anyone tell me why? Is it just a coincidence that I am pregnant?

maybe she can detect the differnce in your hormones. cats can aswell.

I'm not sure but I hope to god its not because you are pregnant as DP's dog has been chewing mine recently

likewise, I think it's probably the hormones. I certainly was a bit whiffier down below when I was pregnant, and maybe your knicks are just too whiffy for her to resist at this time?

I suggest shutting the door to the room your linen basket is in so she can't get at them.

My dog will only chew my pants; and he will only chew the DSs socks.

ur all soo lucky, my dog chews anything and everything in reach. sooo frustrating!!!

But I am not pregnant unless the dog knows something we don't despite monthly evidence to the contrary and careful use of condoms (on the subject of condoms an ex's cat ate on of those once, used too. Was [bleeeeuuuurrgh] when it came out again)

Anyway my fanjo is not whiffy, at least I hope it isn't.

as long as the dog hasnt been at the condom before you used them, then you have reasonable doubt!!

Thanks for the comments! Didn't realise it would be so funny to you all . Laudry basket is in the kitchen where the dogs sleep so cant really shut them out the way. Just to gross you all out a bit more. Condoms and nappies used to be a favourite for her too! (only used. No appeal otherwise!)

My labs a gusset chewer too, he ferrets mine and dd's knickers out of the washing pile and secrets them in his bed til he knows were not in then he chews them up.

Foul creature likes eating after sex tissues and used to try and eat the poo out of nappies too..
