RIP Jem

My fantastic dog Jem died in the early hours of this morning and I am absolutely gutted and I cant stop crying.

She has had heart trouble for a couple of months and has been on various tablets but her heart finally gave out last night at home. Im so glad she went quick and no longer has to suffer. The last couple of days she didnt really want to eat or go out walks and looked so sad.

I had to break the news to my DSs this morning and one is taking it quite badly.

Even my other dog is really down in the dumps and is grieving.

RIP my darling dog and companion. You have seen my through marriage, divorce, 3 children and a couple of house moves.

You have been the best dog ever and I will always love you and never forget you. xxxxxx

She was obviously very well loved and will leave a big gap. Hope your DS's are okay.

Thanks for your kind words everyone. She was a good dog. I got her from a rescue home when she was a pup. She was about 14 when she died

My sons seem to be ok at the moment but I am still very tearful.

I do know it will get easier as I lost another faithful friend a couple of years ago. It does leave a massive gap in the home.
