Hi,

I posted a few days ago about my cats colon prob. She ended up having to go to the vets being sedated despite injections and meds to help her 'go'.

It's now apparent that because she's a hunter of anything and raids bins (paper, foil, peoples left over dinners ect ect...) she will have no qauilty of life if she continues to eat anything else apart from her medicated diet.

She isn't a great outdoor cat... but wonders out for a few mins here and there over the day.

Any tips for making a indoor life for her exciting ?

We had to make ours an indoor one, we spent quite a lot on toys - and a stupid cat tree thing (mistake)

I think its really hard - our 4 children kept letting him out - i felt like a sitcom with the shout of "cat" ringing out most days - and the older children running off round the sides of the house to try and catch him.

Cats favourite game was to target ds2 - who was three or so at the time and really rubbish and stopping him escaping whenever he opened the door.

Hope cat settles to it and doesn't make your life to stressful

My cats had a great toy at one point - sort of a plastic doughnut with a ball inside that they could reach in with their paws and swirl around.

Also, a bit of grass for her to munch on - you've probably seen the special kitty grass stuff they sell in a little tray you grow on your windowsill.

A catnip plant (Nepeta) - if in doubt go for the hallucinogenic drugs, I say

You could also construct an outdoor run for her leading out from a catflap, if that's feasible.

HTH & that she keeps well
