My dog has blue/bruised teats.

Her teats have been swollen sinse her heat, about 5 weeks ago, i put it down to hormones as my mums dog always swells after her heat.
Anyway there the now she was on my knee and i noticed her back two teats are dark blue, like they are bruised.
She is her usual cheery self and they don't seem to be sore to touch.

Mastitis?

I would call the vet to check.

Thank you for replying! She is having a phantom pregnancy the vet said. And sinse it is only her first season they said that she will prob have more Best to get her sprayed, but i cant untill her milk goes away. Shame! xx

PS It's spayed, not sprayed. Or, as my mother used to say, 'dressed'. I don't think anyone uses that term anymore though
